An NSF-funded exchange program began in 1992 between Ken Zeger's research group at the University of Illinois and the Technical University of Budapest (in Hungary). A number of Hungarian scientists have visited or collaborated with the Commmunications Group in the Coordinated Science Lab at the University of Illinois from 1992-1996 and have visited the Information and Coding Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego from 1996-present. Participants include:
